Before you print
Requirements differ by country and by document type, and they change. The presets here cover the most common physical sizes, but every field stays editable — check the current rules from the issuing authority and adjust the size, background and head position to match. This tool sets dimensions and DPI; it does not verify that a photo will be accepted.
Making a passport photo at the right size
Choose a preset — International/EU/UK 35×45 mm, United States 2×2 inch, Canada 50×70 mm, India, Australia and Japan 35×45 mm, China 33×48 mm or a Schengen visa photo — or enter a custom size. Zoom and move the photo to position your head in the frame.
Photos are produced at print resolution (600 DPI by default) and the DPI is written into the file, so they print at their real size. A warning appears if your source photo is too small for the chosen size.
Build a print sheet on A4, A5, Letter, 4×6 or 5×7 inch paper with as many copies as fit, spacing and dashed cutting guides, then print it at home or at a photo shop.
