Designing a profile picture
Choose a circle, square, rounded square or squircle, zoom and drag the photo into place, and add padding, a border, a solid colour or a two-colour gradient behind it.
Size buttons match common platforms — 400 px for X, 320 px for Instagram, 800 px for LinkedIn, 720 px for Facebook, 512 px for Discord and Slack, 460 px for GitHub — or set any size from 64 to 2048 px. Small previews show how it will look in a feed.
PNG keeps the corners transparent, so a round avatar sits cleanly on any background. JPG has no transparency and fills them with white.
